चुनाव हारने के बाद नेताजी के चेहरे की मुस्कान स्थायी उदासी में बदल गई। कार्यकर्ता सांत्वनाकार बन चुके हैं, बासी बर्फी पर मक्खियाँ भिनभिना रही हैं, और भैंस का उदाहरण देते हुए आलाकमान ने नेताजी को समझाया — “राजनीति भी दुधारु भैंस है, एक दिन बाखरी होनी ही पड़ती है।”
