Lions Club Sarthak Organizes New Year Fellowship Meet, Lohri and Makar Sankranti Festival

Lions Club Sarthak organized a grand New Year Fellowship Meet along with Lohri and Makar Sankranti celebrations on Sunday, 11 January, at a private marriage hall in the city. All members of the club participated enthusiastically with their families. The program commenced at 3:00 PM, as members and their families gathered, creating an atmosphere filled with warmth, togetherness, and festive joy.

The games segment was coordinated by Madhu Bhandare, Smita Todwal, Neetu Mangal, Anju Sharma, Deepti Agrawal, and Malti Gupta, who arranged a variety of fun-filled activities for both children and adults. Traditional and entertaining games such as tug of war, satoliya, koda-jamal-khaye, and gully cricket were organized, in which members actively participated along with their children and enjoyed themselves thoroughly.

From 6:00 PM onwards, indoor games were conducted under the coordination of Dr. M. M. Gupta, Dr. Ravi Gupta, Rajesh Mangal, and Lalit Kishore. Popular games like housie and musical chairs added to the excitement, drawing enthusiastic participation from the members.

The highlight of the event was a 20-minute financial literacy session delivered by Mr. Vipin Methi, Director of the local branch of Suresh Rathi Securities. He shared valuable insights on mutual fund investments and also addressed queries raised by the members present. On this occasion, Mr. Methi was felicitated with a memento by Club President Dr. Anil Todwal, Secretary Pavan Gupta, and Zone Chairperson Mr. Anand Goyal.

Media In-charge Mukesh Gupta informed that members who had actively participated in the large Divyang (persons with disabilities) service camp organized in November were honored with complimentary mementos in appreciation of their contributions. At the beginning of the program, the event coordinator Dr. Mukesh Garg was felicitated by the club office bearers. This was followed by the felicitation of members including Ashish Agrawal, Dr. Pushpendra Garg, Anurag Gupta, Dr. Rajesh Garg, Vijaya Gupta, Dr. Chandrakant Singhal, Dr. Santosh Bhandare, Mayank Sharma, and other members.

Overall, the event was highly entertaining, well-organized, and conducted in a dignified and cultured manner, making it a memorable beginning to the New Year for all members and their families.
